My brilliant career !   Its definitely been a great adventure so far .........

After growing up in Kenya and South Africa, I left  Africa for Spain at age 18.  I had an early career sailing charter boats in the Med and Carribean.  Thereafter I travelled the world having many adventures on land and sea - an absolutely tremedous experience to be repeated soon. I took along my first first camera, a Nikon F with one ( 35mm ) lens.

I ended my early travels in New Zealand and suprisingly got serious - ish by attending university in Auckland.

After an exhibition of my documentary and polaroid ( SX 70 ) photography, I was offered job as  photographer and camera assist at Aardvark Films, a leading NZ film co. This led to working as focus puller on many commercials and two feature films in NZ and Australia. My first job as a film cameraman was with Television One NZ, shooting news, docs and a weekly music show.

This colonial boy then travelled to London and worked with ABC Australia and CBS, shooting news and current affairs throughout the world. Then joined the BBC Film Unit and spent four years as camera assistant on docs, music and art films. Promoted to camera operator on some wonderful BBC film drama, working alongside some top Brit directors.  A great learning curve !

Joined Diverse Production UK as cameraman, filming docs all over the world for Channel 4  UK
